Hi, I’m Ace — the owner and creator of Spotlite Brands Candle Co.

I wish I could give you some inspirational story about how my grandparents taught me how to make candles, but that wouldn’t be my truth. I’m a self-taught candle maker who started this whole thing because I got tired of playing retail roulette — one day a candle smelled amazing, the next day it smelled like absolutely nothing. So I decided to make candles I could actually trust.

My journey wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. It was hard — Monday through Friday, 6am to 9pm, working two jobs, then coming home and pouring candles from 9pm to midnight just to have something to sell at the flea market on weekends. That grind built me.

It’s tough to explain my passion for candles. Jordan has basketball. Gretzky has hockey. And Ace… Ace has candles. At least, that’s how it feels in my mind. I’m just a small business owner with a deep love for the craft and a deep love for people — and I want to say thank you for letting me live my dream one jar at a time.

I’ve got big goals for myself and for Spotlite Brands. I want to dive into community activism, mentorship for young entrepreneurs, and create something bigger than candles. I hope you’ll slide into the passenger seat and keep riding with me on this journey.
